Iced Green tea?

I have a Mr Coffee tea maker and today I bought some tropical flavored green tea bags, they are not sweetened.I know that green tea has tons of health benefits, but my question is how much can I safely drink? I have no real health issues.I do not take any prescription meds, and the only medicine I use on a regular schedule is an all natural progesterone cream that is topical(on skin). The tea maker makes two quarts at a time.I could easily drink a quart a day if it was safe.Any thoughts?

I too drink about a good quart of green tea a day - no sugar but do enjoy it with fresh squeezed lemon or lime juice. Love it.

I no longer drink coffee - so this is a nice addition to my liquid intake.

I think the only concern would be the caffeine intake - Maybe use a decaffeinated green tea if you want to drink more??

Here is a little information I found online --

    "Is It Safe?

While green tea is likely safe for most adults, drinking more than five cups a day may lead to caffeine-related side effects (such as headache, nervousness, sleep problems, and irregular heartbeat). The caffeine in green tea may also aggravate some health conditions, including anxiety, high blood pressure, and diabetes."

I drink about 4 cups a day because any more than that gives me heart palpitations.

If you're a vegetarian, or just don't eat a lot of meat, don't drink green tea one hour before or after a meal because it hinders iron absorption. I learned that the hard way.
