so...i was talking to my mother today about how my treat for reaching goal weight is going to be a banana (i've limited the fruits i eat, focusing mainly on vegetables and proteins.) at the time, she was peeling up a banana for her snack and then proceeded to slather nutella all over it. then commented that as i'm losing weight, she's doing nothing but gain it. really had to bite back on telling her off for her snack choice. don't get me wrong, nutella is great. so are bananas, but moderation is key.

anyone else struggle with this, or do you just say what you think and let the chips fall where they may?

  • Nope. I recently *****ed out my parents about this. They are both 60 now. My dad has high blood pressure and eats absolute garbage 7 days a week. Sausage, pizza, steak, etc. nothing healthy. I told him he's a walking time bomb and I worry he's gonna die at any time. Still eating garbage though.

You can say it, but generally it doesn't help unless the person wants to change their habits. Your mum knows that slathering Nuttella over a banana isn't going to do her any favours. Telling her so probably won't change that.

Sometimes I say something and sometimes I don't. Depends on how stabby I'm feeling.
