Can I manually change my MFP calorie goal?

I have entered all the relevent details and labelled my lifestyle as sedentry - which it is, I sit at a desk all day. I prefer to add back my exercise calories on the day that I do the exercise rather than put myself down as one of the more active lifestyle choices.

It is coming up with 1230 calories a day (to lose 1lb per week) and based on some other calculations I have done (on the advice of others on here) I want to aim for nearer 1500 daily.

Can I manually change the 1200 to 1500 anywhere or am I just going to be stuck with eating over my MFP calorie goal every day?

Any suggestions appreciated!

You could change to moderately active (which will probably give you nearer 1500) or set it manually. But if you set it manually to 1500 AND eat back exercise calories you may find you are eating too much.

My last weight loss put me down to 1230 which I felt was a bit low, but I didn't want to put it to lose 1/2 lb per week as I'm stll hoping to shift 14lb by July. Also, like you, I prefer to eat my excercise calories - it gives me more contol (I can make sure I'm not accidentally over-eating or under-exercising) plus it gives me more motivation to exercise. I reset it manually to 1300, so lets see if it works!

I also keep an eye on the calories over the week, so if I am over one day but under three others, by the weekend I can see if I've got any "spare" calories to eat (or drink:drinker: )
