Fear of the scale

So, I am smack dab in the middle of that one week a month where I know oh so better than to get on a scale. I have put it away until at least Thurdsay and very deliberatly hit the snooze button one more time in the morning so I didn't have luxury time to hop on it this morning. **Please note if you look at my calories, there is almost always that random handful of almonds before bed that usually I forget to log that would get me all the way to my daily goal.**. I am also not a measurer. More like my dad who swears he has a "calibrated eye ball" which is no exact meausre so I just estimate pretty close (measured the 1st few days to get an idea). I think this is working but with so many attempts in the past to get past this last 16-20 lbs I am anxious. The system has me at 1200 cal, which I know is low but I figured I would try it for 2-3 weeks and see where it goes, if I get stuck I fully intend to up it.
So my question, anyone else afraid of the scale. Terrified of seeing the same damn number over and over and over and over?
btw, I just started last Monday 4/8/13, so with this "no scale" week, I have no idea of my progress.

Just throw the scale out the window & get a measuring tape.0

Not afraid necessarily but I typically only consider the scale 'counts' once a week and not particularly after an evening of eating a heavy meal. I'll need to wait a few days for things to shake out so to speak to see what I really weigh. It's also just a tool to show me if I'm moving in the right direction or if I need to make some changes somewhere. (there have been times though I swear it's broken. . . )0
