I use Splenda for my coffee. Probably about six packets a day. I've no side effects.0

I like brown sugar, no artificial sweeteners do the same for me as honey, maple syrup and brown sugar. I class stevia as artificial as it is powdered just like the artificial brands.
Carbs are healthy. Too much sugar, or too much of anything is unhealthy. It's all about balance.
I have had to use dark brown sugar past few days because I am out of white sugar lol I can vouch it is just as good :flowerforyou:0 -
I'm going with Stevia here, straight powdered plant leaves.
You can even grow it in the kitchen window if you're feeling ambitious.
Or join me as a black coffee drinker :-) Muahaha!0 -
Agave! It works great in place of sugar or honey.0

I have to control my blood sugar so I use Truvia which is a nice mix of Xylitol (a sugar alcohol) and Stevia. I tried Stevia on it's own and found it had a nasty aftertaste. If you do go for real sugar, I don't think 2 tsp is too crazy, unless you have to watch your BG0
