30DS after Insanity?

Has anyone else done the 30DS after doing Insanity? This is my last week of Insanity and I want to jump right into the shred. Because I realize it could be a bit easier of a workout, I am also considering using 5 and 8 lbs weights. Or maybe 8 and 10. Any thoughts?

I would love to hear the replies on this because that's exactly what I've been planning on doing when I finish Insanity in a week and a half. I will also be training for a 10k at the same time.

I haven't done Insanity, so I can' t speak to that program, but I am finishing up 30DS now and I used 5lb weights the whole way through. I think I could have used 8lbs in some areas. I have seen a lot of muscle improvement and inches lost!

    Best of luck to you!

I JUST finished insanity last week and I'm taking a few days off and planning on doing the 30DS (even though I already did it once) because I think my body needs a workout that isn't so harsh so I can "recover" from the pounding I got from Insanity.

I was thinking of taking this time as a recovery as well, but I still want to lose and see results. I'm afraid of not seeing any which is why I am thinking about using weights heavier than what most people have posted. I also hope it will be a good segway into lifting heavy later. I plan on taking these 30 days and reading more on it, particularly NROL4W

Some exercise is better than no exercise for sure.
