We have been where you are tonight. You are scared, you are angry, and you are asking why here? The answer is because you stand out as a city where freedom rose, you are a city that fights and a city that endures. You are a city that survives.

... We have been where you are Boston. We have seen the darkest hour. We have seen those that run in when common sense says turn back. You have a city that is lit by bravery. The good will always shine a light in what will seem like your darkest hour.

We have been where you are.
We are here with you now.
