Lean ground beef vs ground turkey vs ground chicken

Which do you use more of? Someone once told me that extra lean ground beef had less fat than ground turkey, unless you buy ground turkey BREAST.

I guess in chilis and stews and stuff, you really wouldn't notice TOO much of a taste difference if you used ground chicken/turkey breast instead of beef.

I want to make better choices, but if ground beef (extra lean) has less fat and calories than the others, I may as well stick with it.

So tell me your opinions!

I use all 3, depending on the recipe. Ground beef has more iron that the others, so sometimes it's the best. They all contain different sodium content too. I believe the key, even to ground meats, is portion control. Sometimes I want a beefy taste and only ground beef will quench that and other times I'm content using ground chicken instead.

Thank you. That is what I am thinking, that beef may have more of "something" than the others. I don't mind turkey and chicken, I have used it. But I wouldn't make a meatloaf out of them because I want that MEAT flavor. lol. I was just wondering if I was making a poor choice or if it really was an ok choice to buy extra lean beef.
