Too much water and not enough sodium

After months of watching my sodium intake (tried to keep it below 1500 mg.), I saw my doctor yesterday and my blood sodium level is too low. Not terrible, but a normal range is 135-145 mg., I am at 133. The doctor wants me to increase my sodium intake and then recheck in 6 months. I see thread after thread of people trying to keep an ultra-low sodium and drinking lots of water. Seriously, this is not good unless you have had your sodium checked and are high. Too low of sodium can be worse than too high and there is such a thing as too much water, leading to depleted sodium levels. From what my doctor told me and some internet reading, most bodies are perfectly capable of managing sodium levels without depriving it.

I just wanted to share my experience with everyone, hopefully it will help.
