Natural waist size vs. jeans waist size

I just measured my "natural waist" and it is 33 inches. However, I easily fit into a size 30' waist in womens....How is that..?? I don't understand.

    Where is our "natural waist"? My understanding is that for women it is at the crease that forms when you bend your body sideways. Is that correct?

    yes, i was told the natural waist can be found by bendig over to the side and measuring around the part of skin that "creases" in. lol
