So my scale broke (YAY?)

I've decided to experiment with myself a bit

Part of the ways I stayed focused in my journey(s) before was weighing all the time

Today, since I have no scale at the moment, I measured my waist inches.
AND BOY DID IT SCARE ME

Besides the point

How often should I take measurements if I'm doing it this way?
Obviously won't see a different day to day like pounds

    1 a month or so.

    edit: I should add that I like to do it before and after a workout program. Sometimes during, but that's only if I think there is a visual difference in the mirror. That being said, depending on the length of the program, I sometimes end up measuring twice a month.
