SAHM with a Plan

Hello everyone my name is Sara. I am a college grad turned stay at home mom who is working on getting into shape. I used to e a healthy weight but gained like crazy due to medications I was on. Now that I no longer need them I am finally losing. I am focusing on healthy diet and exercise to drop the pounds. It is a lot of work but worth it. I have a workout buddy that I walk with and sometimes eat lunch with during her work break. So far I ha e lost 40lbs and have 80lbs to go. I take great pride in my progress so far but feel a little discouraged because I don't really see the difference yet. Then again I did have a baby not to long ago and my body changed. Any who enough about me. If you'd like to know more just ask!

  • Welcome to the party! 40 lbs so far is a great loss; make sure to take monthly progress pics of yourself. Sometimes side-by-side pictures can show differences that the mirror can't. Also, although I don't do them myself, most people recommend measurements so you can see specifically where you're getting smaller.

BTW, mother AND a grad student?!? Go you! That sounds like a busy life.
  • 40 pounds is nothing to sneeze at! And you're right, it might seem like it isn't doing much, but it will if you keep it up. I just lost ~100 over the last year or so so I can tell you how true the following article is. :)

    Just remember - it's not a sprint... It's a marathon.
