Army PT drills are great for beginners- here is an app.

An app from the US Army, TC-3-22.20, is great for basic workouts to promote toning for beginners. It shows specific activities for certain parts of the body as well as step-by-step instructions for each workout. From my own experience, it's one of the best ways to break a sedentary body into training mode.
