exercise for those that are disabled or health challenged

I'm recovering from heart surgery and I'm disabled. Bad knee's and back. What kind of exercise's can I do.

    When you went through cardio rehab did they give you a list of recommended exercises? They usually do. However, I would think anything that you can ease into slowly is best; walking, stationary bike, elliptical, swimming would best. As far as your knees and back, I think swimming is one exercise that is gentle on the joints.

    i agree with the others - you need to see your dr or physical therapist, but....i am so proud of you for asking!!!! well done, a lot of people would take up the couch potato pose! where there is a will there is a way :)

    I could not do P.T. Co-pays with meds and doctor's too much for my budget. Need to do this on my own. Have will power , just need some extra know how !!! Have a list of simple stretches from the hospital, but I need other ideas . I have bands ( red, yellow, green, and blue) , 2-1 pound weights and my daughter has a pool I can use.
