I have often heard about using yogurt (especially greek yogurt) in recipes as substitutes.

What does it replace? Just milk? For a 1:1 ratio?

I like to use it as sour cream, like on tacos and such. I think the plain greek yogurt tastes just like it.

I definitely like to use it as a sour cream substitute on chili and burritos. Just curious about using it in baked goods as a substitute.

I have used it instead of cream cheese in New York style cheese cake. I don't like milk so I put it on my cereal. Instead of salad dressing or half of the mayo in a recepie and I like it better then sour cream now

So, in general, it's a 1:1 replacement? So if a recipe called for 1 cup of mayo, you'd do 1/2 cup mayo and 1/2 cup yogurt? And same for cream cheese - replace 8 oz cream cheese with 8 oz yogurt?
