Who says that's true?? Let me introduce myself.. My name is Christina and I am a super busy working mom to 3 kids. One of them has ADHD & ODD and is a constant battle. I started my journey last week (week 2 woohoo!) and am thoroughly looking forward to slimming down again and being the woman I used to be.
Time - I hear it always. How can you do this, I don't have enough time or I have too many problems with me to exercise. Well to anyone reading this that has this thought let me share with you... neither of those is true. It is all about finding balance.
I work 10-12 hous per day, then come home prepare dinner and during the week for 3 nights minimum I am bolting out the door to get the kids to little league. Last night we didn't get home until 10:30. I made sure we all ate before we left (a wonderful salad) and took my kids some grapes and carrots to munch on while there. Since I already hit my calorie mark I was done for the day.
My workout schedule goes something like this: On days when there are late baseball games, I do not work out. The rest of the time I do it at 8:30pm at night. While this may not be the best time it is what fits into my schedule. On the weekends I do it at 6am before anyone wakes up and my day turns hectic. I plan all our breakfasts, snacks, dinners on Sunday and try to do cook everything then and store it so we can grab and go as needed. I make baggies of snacks for the kids for them to be able to grab as they need. So far it seems to be working alright.
I also am hypothyroid and have had 4 previous back surgeries. It won't stop me and nothing should stop anyone else either. I adjust as I need no matter what program I doing for exercise and continue to do what I can. I can tell you that for anyone with prior back surgeries - Yoga is the savior
Nice to meet you all! We can all do it - just make it fit for your lifestyle!

Nicely said and true. It is all about prioritising and working out what is most important to you. I like most of the people here have come to realise that our health is invaluable.0

HAHAHA .. that made me giggle. I am NO supermom - let me tell you. Sometimes I feel like a crazy person. I did learn that if I didn't schedule everything down to the tee I felt very out of control lol
Back when I was active duty Army - I didn't have to worry about weight or exercise - that was a given every morning at 6am for 1.5 hours lol Now I just walk around like.. ummmmm what now.0 -
Wow ....you are busy. I agree with you, everyone can make time if they are committed to change. Thanks for sharing. Love that you are including your family in your journey by having them eat healthy snacks and meals as well. Keep up the great work.
PS no matter what time of day you work out...at least you are moving. Mine is usually done 8-10 pm.0 -

I actually discovered with my body that working out at night I seem to lose more weight. I don't know if it is the burning while I sleep factor but it just seems to fit better with mybody...
or It could just be that I am so wore out by the time I go to bed after working out - I just fall over and pass out lol0
