Anyone have suggestions for a good mulit-vitamin?

I would like to start taking a multivitamin, possibly a good one for weight loss. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas?

Just make sure that whatever you take is USP verified. Supplements aren't regulated by the FDA, and the USP verification makes sure that what's on the label in actually in the supplement. There will be an icon on the label somewhere.

My favorite is Centrum Women's. It has more vitamins/nutrients than the One A Day kind. My main problem is low iron since I don't eat much meat and taking the Centrum Women's keeps me at a good level. I also notice an improvement in my skin and nails taking it.

I do NOT recommend anything from GNC. A friend of mine got a bottle of multivitamins from there a few years back and took them for a week. She started her period while taking them (which was 2 weeks early) and bled non-stop for 2-3 weeks. Her cycle has been screwed up ever since. I got her some Chasteberry extract (vitex - herbal remedy) to balance her hormones and that helped, but her cycle still goes wonky unless she takes the chasteberry. ((a note about chasteberry -- as it balances hormones DO NOT take it if you are on birth control, because it will counteract it))

I don't know about weight loss vitamin -- seems like a bad idea, personally -- but I use Rainbow Light brand. I am taking Women's One and when I want making my daughter, their prenatal. They are great, all natural vit/mineral supplement and no vitamin nausea, which I get with a lot of the standard brands. I took some terrible "weight loss" women's vitamin and it made me SO SICK.
