Who to believe on daily calorie goals? Halp!

So I used this :http://scoobysworkshop.com/accurate-calorie-calculator/
to calculate how many calories I should eat in a day to meet my goal (weight loss, bout 15 pounds), and it gave me a daily calorie goal of about 1500. MFP took what I kind of recall as being similar information when I signed up, and gave me its own daily calorie goal of 1200.
My question is, if I eat around 1500, MFP predicts weight gain for me when I "complete" a day's entry. Which do I go with in this case? I'm scared to eat 1500 (I'm a bird-like eater, I would be stuffed until I adjusted!) and gain weight, as MFP predicts. But I don't want to be skinny fat. I want to be skinny strong! Advice here on would be so appreciated!
For reference, the link above said my TDEE was around 1900, and my BMR was around 1200

I have my daily calorie goal set to 1800 (set it myself) and MFP always thinks I'm either gonna gain, or lose like a pound in 5 weeks. I am losing pretty well, generally about a pound a week (though it's slowing down now with only about 11 pounds to go.)0

Did you choose that you want to lose 2 pounds per week? I think MFP gives 1200 calories per day to anyone who picks that option.0

With only 10 lbs to lose, a 1/2 lb/week goal is more realistic. MFP doesn't take into account how healthy your goal is. 2 lbs/week is okay if you have a lot of weight to lose, but as you get closer to your goal you should eat at a smaller deficit. TDEE-20% is a good general goal. Studies I found showed a larger deficit (TDEE-25%) can have an effect on your metabolism after 3-6 months.0

Thanks! This is great info.0

I personally leave my activity level to sedentary and log exercise. My exercise varies a lot week to week and I work a desk job, so it works best for me.0
