Thorlo Running Socks

So, these are my favorite all time running socks and the last pair I bought 3 years ago were starting to run thin, so I decided to go to ****s (di cks Sporting goods) Sunday to get a couple more pair. I got there and saw that the price had gone from 12 bucks a pair to 14. So I got a hair up my crawl and only bought one and decided to search on line to find them cheaper.

So after a quick google search I came upon Al Imperfect Sock outlet. It is where they sell the ones not perfect enough to sell at the retail shops for 8.99 A PAIR! I ordered 3 pair and they came in 2 days. I can not find where they are imperfect as they look and feel like the perfect ones to me.

I'm not a runner, but love those socks. My feet are narrow and the extra padding in the heel and ball of the sock really helps. I have only one pair and the rest of the time I have to wear 2 pair of other socks I have.

Those are great socks. I found some at Marshalls for $7 or $8 and pick up a couple of pairs.

HOLY COW! We are going to Australia next year on Holiday, maybe I should bring a few dozen to sell on the street. :happy:

Oh yeah, they are super soft. I have had mine on all day and have no indentions. If you are a runner then they are a must, they make you feel like you are walking on little clouds.

I haven't tried Thorlos, but Swiftwick Pulse and Drymax Hyper Thin socks are significantly better than the competing Smart Wool PhD ultra-light socks. My three Marathons were run in Switfwick Pulse Zero socks. Actually, I think all of the races I've done have been in those socks since I found them, which was unfortunately after I had purchased many pairs of Smart Wool socks.

I'll have to check them out. I've been wearing just regular sports socks from Wal-Mart and for the most part they do the trick, but I happened to do 19k today and ended up with a blister on my toe.

I don't know if they have changed the composition of the socks (I know they have lot more styles). but I have worn Ultimax socks from Wigwam for years.

One of the reasons I have worn them for years is that they take forever to wear out. The oldest ones are getting a little thin in spots (they are still the old Ultimax brand, before Wigwam acquired the company), but I have been wearing them probably close to 10 years.

Thorlos are excellent as well, but I always found the cushioning too thick to be comfortable for me, The Wigwams are a little thinner in the toes. They wick moisture like a champ--I have not had a blister in I don't know how many years. We had some serious flooding in our neighborhood last Thursday. I took Marley out for a walk and got stuck in a couple of spots where we either had to completely backtrack or else walk through some 6" deep puddles. I decided to keep on going through the water. I was wearing some Wigwams and after the initial shock of getting my feet soaked in a cold puddle, they warmed right up and I was able to keep on going for another 30 minutes or so with absolutely no discomfort.

It can be a shock to pay $8-$12 for one pr of workout socks, but, considering the wear I have gotten from mine (and I'm sure the Thorlos last just as long), the price is an absolute steal. There is absolutely no reason for anyone to EVER wear cotton socks.
