Question for the nutrition guru's:) I'm new at food tracking but am getting a good start I think. I'm paying more attention to all the category totals (fat, protein, etc) when I plan my meals for the day. Yesterday and today I'm totally maxing out on protein but kinda struggling with eating all my calories.
Is eating more than the recommended amount of protein good, bad or a "whatever" thing. I can imagine this will start to be a trend for me as we eat typically eat alot of foods high in protein and are obviously making for of an effort to do so since joing MFP.
Any input is appreciated!

I find MFP protein settings too low. Aim for 1 gram of protein per pound of lean body mass. I try to get no less than 80 g per day, ideally getting 95+..0

how many calories are you consuming when you are "maxing out"
excess protein is synthesized into different uses for the body such as glucose and fat.

When you post it shows up on your profile. Typing "Bump" is just a way of not contributing to the thread, but easily finding it later because you are interested in it.0 -
Just referred to a post from this morning regarding the same question.:) ha Basically I've gathered I can handle taking in more protein than I have been...which is fine with me! Definitely feel more energized eating more protein.
Thanks to everyone who replied.0 -
Can you link to that other post please? I'm having the same problem- I haven't met my calories for the day but find I am at (or have 1g left) for sugar, protein and fat- and that's already loading on the veggies.0
