Is swimming a good exercise to help with weight loss?

Is swimming a good exercise to help with weight loss?

Along with gym training 3 times a week?
Generally my training plans are either Core/Cardio or HIIT & Weights based.


I haven't swam in a while I only go gym 3 times a week and I can't do the workouts the next day as they're full body.
I want to go swimming once a week. Would this help along with the gym training?

Any good swimming once/twice a week plans?

    The answer is yes, swimming is a great form of exercise consistancy is the key to anything.

    Swimming is considered by some to be the best exercise on the planet because there is very little impact on your joints. If it's convenient for you to swim regularly, go for it!

    Low impact, engages all of the body and gets the heart rate up! Worth it even if its a once a week thing!

    Oh hell yeah! Works every major muscle group, burns bunches of calories (even on the "lazy" strokes like breast stroke or side stroke), and it's the ONLY exercise you can do where your own sweat magically disappears!
