Crazy Work Schedule

I work over at the Airport and my hours all week are absurd. Some days begin as early as 5 am and other days end as late as 11 pm. I know that foods are allowed through security if brought through in a certain way i.e. wrapped and sealed but my real question is this.
Does anyone else's eating schedule get thrown off by crazy work hours? :noway: I'm not sure when I'm working at 5 am, if I should be eating breakfast that early or be waiting til a later time such as 8 or 9 am to start eating breakfast. Does anyone have any advice or tips for what to do during these situations? I end up eating dinner at around 3 pm and then have a large gap the rest of day and get worried about "grazing".
Thanks!

Hi Starry,
I work long hours 5.30am to 5.30pm so not as all over the place as you. I don't think timings the issue I think as long as you stick to your calories in a 24 hour.
At the moment I eat breakfast at 5am, ususally snack about 9-10am Lunch at 12pm Snack 3pm then Dinner around 7.30pm. I am sticking to 1200 calories -If you choose the right foods you'll make it through the day.
For me personnally I find snacking on protein foods keeps me fuller for longer, I also find that avoiding starchy carbs ie big bread rolls is better for me and I don't get that afternoon sugar craving, or get hungry faster (which I use to get a lot)
Hope it helps a little - I'm still on a massiive learning curve myself and working long/odd hours can make it a little more difficult but def not undoable!
Good Luck!0 -

Thanks for the tips! I just read your reply, and yes I've also found the more protein something has the more full I feel longer. Greek yogurt is one of my favorite go to's.0
