People.. Need your help n advice... Around 2 weeks back I skipped a peddle while peddling on the elliptical. It was my right leg. After that on n off I used feel a slight pain in my right knee (not sure if that was the reason or its something else). Especially when I m try to bend my right knee, there used to be a slight pain. Last night I applied Capsidol (usual cream for muscle catch etc). Today I was doing legs workout. And everytime I was bending my right knee there was a burning sensation (thats coz of the ointment, giving the burning feel) n the pain was slightly more. There is no swelling or anything else. Please advice what to do. The pain is slightly increased and appears especially when I bend my knee, try to sit or climb down the stairs :(

Is the pain below or above the kneecap? If it is, then it's probably patellar tendinitis. If it feels like it's "inside" the knee, you may have injured a ligament.

Rest, ice and compression for a few days. IF it is very swollen, see a doc. you may have mildly torn something and can make it worse with continued strain. Even if elliptical is low impact, it puts a lot of motion on knees. You need to take it easy a few days, wear good shoes ( no heels) and see if it improves. Be well!

The pain is just below the knee cap..
