I'm just worried about my lungs hurting and then getting discouraged!
if you're having trouble breathing, that's usually a clue that you're running too fast. It's a common newbie runner mistake to try to run as fast as you possibly can. When you do this it will not only leave you breathless but use up your energy really quickly. Just take it easy and time your footfalls with your breath to keep yourself in check. Most folks to 2 or 3 footfalls with the inhale then 2 or 3 footfalls with the exhale. It helps me a lot to also count to keep myself in check or even sing a song in my head that's got the right beat.0
