What do I eat???

I think I've been reading too many health blogs and confused myself. For those that have lost weight, what do you eat on a daily basis? Do you measure calories? How do you deal with cravings? I'm super addicted to sugar and have been cutting back for the past couple months, but when I try to avoid it completely I always relapse and binge on something crazy that I stopped eating months ago. Seriously it seems like addict behavior almost. Any advice is appreciated :)

Eat whatever you want as long as it fits into your calories and macros. Don't go for a "diet" ... instead change your lifestyle and have eating habits now that you can continue with forever.

If you love sugar allow yourself a little bit everyday. I got over wanting sweets by only getting my sugar from fruits. I regularly go well over the MFP limit of sugar however it's all fruits and 99% of the time there is nothing refined and no added sugars. I count calories but don't stress if I am over a bit. Regularly I am over my calorie goal by about 200 calories yet have lost 5lbs so far in April.

The problem with many healthy living blogs is that they don't show the whole picture - it's not always intentional there is just too much info. I have noticed some of them having eating disorders and it can be hard to find ones that really promote healthy habits.

Most of the sucess stories on here revolve around adding and eating more fresh foods and cutting out processed food whenever possible.

You are young so you probably won't have a serious problem with blood sugars as I do now. I am prediabetic and I am using this time to fight Type 2, prevent full blown diabetes. I love cake! and all things sweet but since eating more wholegrains and protein, it fills me up and seems to help take my cravings away. Sugar is definitely addictive. My young friend at work lost 15kg with exercise, healthy eating and having one small sweet treat every day. Good luck.
