I'm getting the hang of this polar f6 thing

Hey gang,

Thanks to those of you who responded to my questions about the polar F6 heart rate monitor. I tried it out again today, and I was burned 306 calories in a little over 30 min. It's more calories burned that what was quoted on MFP. Yay!

I'm going to take it to the gym with me tomorrow. Hopefully, I've been burning more than it says on the cardio machines too. Next, I'll try it with my Jillian Michales DVDs. I sweat buckets, so I can't wait to see the true calorie burn.

My weigh in day is tomorrow and I've had a couple of off days, so, we'll see.

Glad you like it! I LOVE my Polar F6. I wear it for every workout and will probably wear it this weekend while gardening just to see how much I actually burn. My calories burned are always UNDER what MFP says. Just over the past week and a half of wearing my HRM and adjusting my actual calories burned on MFP, I dropped 1.6lbs.

My favorite thing with the F6 is seeing the percentage of calories burned where from fat.

    Good luck with your weigh-in!

I use my f6 for everything: gym workouts, hiking, kayaking, even walking the dog. I was amazed, and a little dismayed to learn that an hour routine at the gym burned no more calories than a brisk walk with the dog on the beach...

Enjoy and ogood luck with your goals!!
