Diet (or Fitness) Advice You Love to Hate

What's the piece of diet advice you love to hate? Something ridiculous, untrue, or a blanket statement that really doesn't apply to everyone.

Mine, read on a blog this morning: Giving in to cravings is a good thing.
"Sometimes allowing yourself to give in to your cravings can be better for you down the road...If you're constantly restricting yourself when it comes to the foods you want to eat, you're more likely to end up going overboard at the first sign of something sweet."

Really? I'm sure this is fine if you give and have a bite of cake once a week or pizza for dinner once a month, but the majority of people take it as license to eat whatever they want because it's a "craving." Spoiler alert: you lose your taste for overly sweet, rich, and salty foods the less you eat them.

Also let's get the "muscle weighs more than fat" thing out of the way. I think we all know by now that people mean volume when they say weight.

What's your favorite piece of bad advice??

I think the whole "fat-burning zone" notion is one that makes me cringe every single time. That and "cleanses"/"detoxes".
