Replacing breakfast with a low cal protein shake?

Hi guys just after a little advice even though im sure this has been brought up before. My weight loss has come to a standstill grrrr. I always workout first thing in the morning and follow with a breakfast of lowfat cereal and milk, yoghurt. Could I replace this with a low fat/carb protein shake instead of the meal. I REALLY dont want to bulk up just want to lean down but be toned too. Just thinking of new ideas to ramp up the fat shedding?

    Regardless if I workout in the AM or not, I usually have a whey protein smoothie made with Greek yogurt, fruit, and unsweetened almond milk. Low fat, carbs and calories..really filling.
