1. A swift quick in the *kitten*.
2. Rinse and repeat.

Registered for a 5k for this Saturday. I need to do it. I want to do it. But I'm TERRIFIED of being last. I know I won't get better and improve time until I keep practicing, but I don't want to be the last one across the line. However, looking at past results- there is a good chance it'll happen. Did a 5k two weeks ago with a 50 minute time (approx.- time read 43 minutes, but the person that was supposed to direct you around the last half mile loop wasn't there and a LOT of us missed it).

So- kick me in the *kitten* and tell me to get out there and do it. I've asked a few friends who run if they'd be interested in coming along with me for some motivation and support. Fingers crossed!

Do it! Who cares if you come in last? You only fail if you don't run the race.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Just finishing is an accomplishment.

Although I've decided that if I'm doing it, I'm bringing blue/yellow ribbon and some safety pins!

Don't worry about it. If you run it, then you've done it and you should be proud. Anyway, if there are people walking the race (which often there are) you will beat them.

I've started running since last october and something I learn from the people who run (including professional level) it's that the most important it's not getting first or last, the important thing is to challenge yourself.

Go! You'll love it and be proud of yourself!
