Tale of 4 diets and 4.5 doughnuts

So at my office in China, there are 4 of us on diets out of 7 total in our office. It’s not a helpful or supportive environment (minus me of course!). Yesterday, Ed who is on a diet, went out and bought a dozen doughnuts for everyone. Why… I really don’t know. Ed didn’t eat a doughnut, but he tried to get the other 3 of us on a diet to eat the doughnuts. Then Brian, who is also on a diet, saw the doughnuts, and then picked up the box of doughnuts & brought them to each person’s desk, and tried to convince them they wanted a doughnut. Brian, being on a diet, didn’t eat the doughnuts. The last dieter, Tom, well, not much to say about him, he just said no and walked on. So by 3 pm yesterday, there were only 5 doughnuts left (we have lots of visitors who took some of the doughnuts). I will admit, I ate ½ a doughnut and an orange as my 3pm snack & was only 75 cal over my daily calorie allowance. So then the doughnut count was down to 4.5 doughnuts. I figured last night, the doughnuts would be thrown away but no, Ed couldn’t throw away good doughnuts even though he is on a diet so I walk in this morning and the whole “taunting with doughnuts” starts again. Fortunately for me, day old doughnuts are not my thing. But I’ve been offered a doughnut 4 times this morning (twice the entire box of doughnuts). I’m about to take a doughnut and throw it at the two of them but since they are my bosses…I’ll just rant on MFP.
