Advice needed for calorie goal

Long story short, I started using MFP 5 weeks ago. Started at 220, this past weekend weighed in at 198. Very pleased with the results so far. Last week MFP recalculated my calorie goal at 1250, down from 1350. So far this week I'm up a few pounds and feel kinda blah. Should I continue at 1250 and give it some time, or bump it back up a bit? Any input is appreciated.

    Just keep experimenting. I upped my cals from 1200 to 1500 and I've lost a little, I have about 100 lbs to loose so everyone's a bit different. If you're exercising a few days a week then it's better to eat more to refuel your body, but not to the point where you're eating back your calories. There's plenty of information on MFP, hope you find something that works for you.

    Hey they have plenty online website tht offer a calorie calculator to determine how Many calorie s needed for work days and lazy days. It's a lot more then tht. I quit losing n was hectic to add calories but I did eventually and started losing a bit again. I'll try to find the site I used to post it for u. Once u figure ur calories just go to mfb and manually change ur goal
