Does what I'm doing right now fit into who/what I want to be?

I've seen a lot of people ask how to stay motivated; I've even been an asker myself. Yesterday, in a discussion, this question was brought and assigned to me, you could say. I thought a number of us here could use it.

Whatever you are doing at a particular moment might feel good: an extra slice of cake/pie, watching tv all day, reading an easier book, or what have you, but does it really help you out? It can be nice to give yourself a break, but are you really giving yourself a break or falling back on old habits?

So, ask yourself if what your actions are fit into your goals. I feel a bit empowered now that I see what was meant by it. And I hope you will too.
