Well I had already decided to change to the TDEE way of things anyway but the scales this morning have certainly shown that the other way is really not working. Although I ate 'normally' yesterday and some of the weight is probably my body going quick hold on it before we starve again I would of expected a much greater loss over the week.
So plan is to have a relaxed weekend. Spend alot of time working out a meal plan for next week, calculating the calories to make sure I hit my new goal of 1700 a day and Monday, get on to the right way of doing things.
I just wanted to share this for anyone else who is doing it the wrong way so they can see that even on really really low cals you will end up gaining.

Starving doesn't work.....it really doesn't. It teaches you nothing about sound eating habits. It just causes frustration and more eating and self loathing. Trust me. Just plan your meals, count your calories, exercise and you should be good.0
