I just signed up for the MCM 10K. I'm super excited, but with 6 months to train I'm a little nervous.
My mom is doing the full marathon and she wanted me to come with her. She mentioned that there's a 10K which piqued my interest. Right now I'm completing a mile at around 16 minutes. What training advice can you give me?
At the moment this is my usual routine on the treadmill:
2.5 minutes at the 2.5 setting
2.5 minutes at 3.0
2.5 minutes at 3.5
1.5 at 5.0
1.0 at 3.0
1.0 at 3.5
1.5 at 5.0
repeat the last three until I reach around 30 minutes and then I cool down with 2.5 at 3.0 and then 2.5 at 2.5.
When I have time I do this for an hour.

Also if anyone else is doing the marathon or 10k feel free to add me. I will definitely need the support and would love feedback and I'll provide it back.
I'm just afraid that I'll be one of the last to finish.0 -
Dont worry about where anyone else will finish. The only thing you have to beat is the little voice in your head saying you can't do it.
Well done for starting your training early! What are the settings on your treadmill, is that km per hour?0 -

I'm actually not sure, but now that you mention it... I think the ones at Golds Gym might be km per hour and the ones at Planet Fitness might be miles per hour. I'll have to check. I'm in the process of switching over to Golds Gym.0
