How often should I adjust calorie intake goal?

Options
Hi there!!
I'm looking for help to find out how often I should recalculate my calorie intake.
I am female, 41, 225lbs work a desk job and work out 3 days a week. I started eating 1200 c/day and didn't lose anything, I upped it to 1700c/day and have been losing steadily.
I am now down 12lbs from my start weight and am wondering if I should change my intake every 10lbs, or when I see my loss slowing?

Thanks!!

I use heybales spreadsheet. And this is what is written on the sheet:

"When your weight drops 5 lbs, or your measurements for body fat % change, or your daily activity changes, or your exercise type and time change, then you need to correct the stats above to see if your final TDEG changes enough to worry about."

Where can I find that spreadsheet? It sounds like a good tool.

It sure does. I'd like a copy, too.

I change my calorie per day amount at least once a month. You need to do what's best for you or better yet ask your doctor how often you should change your calories per day.

I'm fairly certain that MFP automatically lowers my calorie goal as my weight has been dropping.
