Why is pilates "cardio" and not "strength"?

I mostly workout with yoga and pilates DVDs, and when I enter them in my phone they are categorized under cardio not strength. It's not a big deal, I get to see the calories I'm burning either way, I'm just curious. These activities rarely get my heart rate up all that much, but my muscles are often sore after.

All calorie burns are included under cardio, even weight lifting. Strength is just for sets and reps.1
