On August 1st of 2012 I entered into a Gastric bypass weight loss program at 328 ponds with high blood pressure, diabetes and high cholesterol.
I had my weight loss surgery on December 5th of 2012, my pre-surgery weight on that day was 295 pounds.
for the following four and a half months I have followed the program exactly, logged everything I eat and all of my exercise and participate on both online and in-person support groups. the MyFitnessPal community has been instrumental on my success.
After 30 years of being morbidly obese I am now down to 223 pounds, a 104 pound loss. I am off most of my meds am bicycling 10-15 miles per day and I feel great. If anybody thinks that weight loss surgery is the "easy" way out, I can attest that it is the hardest work that I have ever done to reach a goal, but the payoff is fantastic.
