Having a hard time this week...

My main source of exercise is my cardio. (Walking, bike, etc.) But there is something wrong with the cartilage or a ligament in my knee and the joint is filled with fluid. I am now in a brace and can't do much for a little bit. On top of of that (yes here comes the womanly stuff..) even though I don't get a cycle I'm on the last week of my pills and I gained a couple pounds and feel overall bloated. I broke down in tears last night because I'm just at a loss. I am diagnosed with an eating disorder and I don't want to hardcore relapse due to this problem. I don't want to talk to anyone at home too much about it 'cause I don't want them to stress out or force food down my throat.
Does anyone have any exercises that won't bulk me up at all that I can do until my knee is in better shape? I've been trying to do some leg lifts but I have to limit my crunches and weighted sports hoop or else it seems like my stomach bulges out too much to my liking.
I know this seems like an impossible case.. that's why I'm hoping there's someone out there who can help a little.

I would say just do what exercises that you can safely do without hurting yourself. If you have a legitimate medical reason that you can't do a particular exercise it is best not to ignore that.

I would not worry about bulking up at all. Unless you dedicate yourself to becoming bulky it isn't going happen by accident. You would have to model you diet and exercise plan around packing on the muscle for that happen. I hope things get better for you.

It just seems my abs get bulgey and bulky if I like do my weighted hoop/crunches "too often" but that could be my BDD talking? *shrug* Ive been trying to take it easier and Ive avoided the scale. Thanks for your positive feedback and helpful words :) I appreciate it.

Not supposed to hurt when you have an injury... that's just bad for your body.

However I am healed up now and back in the groove of things.
