Do body types change?

As I have been losing weight, I go closet shopping every couple of weeks.

I have a pair of jeans that I have been trying on since getting into the 190s, because I thought that was the weight I was wearing them at. After all, I haven't been below 190 in a long time. But they just won't go over my thighs. Today, at 193, I finally got them on, but the thighs felt like a tourniquet.

On the other hand, last weekend, I tried out a shirt that I thought fit best in the mid 180s and it was perfect. I went bike riding in it without feeling a pull at the shoulders and without showing off my *kitten* to the triathletes training at the track.

I admit I haven't worn either of these in six months to a year, so my memory could be faulty, I was just wondering if our bodies change that much over time. I was under the impression that the general proportions were consistent.

Since the jeans are 17s (aka juniors), have I finally developed a more womanly shape in my forties?
