Is it worth getting Fitbit if I only do aerobics?

I'm thinking of getting a pedometer like Fitbit or Body Bug, but I don't know if it's worth it since I take aerobic classes instead of walking/jogging. Any advice?

Thanks!

I love my Fitbit, and I do a lot more than just walking or jogging. It helps me stay more active throughout the day because of the step and floors climbed counters. It also gives me a good estimation of my TDEE at the end of the day. It is very close to some of the online calculators that I have found, and since that is what I use to calculate my calorie goal, it has been working out great for me.

I'm actually planning on getting a fitbit, because it can be used to see how many estimated calories you burn in a day. I use a HRM for my workouts and from what I've read if I log the activity with the correct time on fitbits website, it will override the fitbit calculation.

I think it is ALWAYS worth getting a Fitbit! Aerobics is still step-based, so it will still count your activity in that period (think about the kinds of moves you do in aerobics, you are pretty much always "stepping") & on top of that it will motivate you to move more when you are not specifically working out. It is a REAL eye opener as to how active you really are or could be.

Either get a fitbit for all day and a HRM for aerobics or a Bodymedia Fit which will be good for both.
