Withdrawing from Pepsi Max!

From today I am hoping to stop drinking Pepsi max - I have tried previously but have given up do to the awful headaches, irritability , mood swings and physical shakes I get within 8hrs of being Pepsi free! I drink a 330ml can at lunchtime and another after 9pm each and everyday - somedays I will also add in an extra can. I know that's not a massive addiction but as I don't drink tea or coffee it's the only caffeine I consume so my withdrawals are complete "cold turkey" and I just can't seem to get past the first 48hrs! Was thinking about trying to reduce my intake gradually but not sure what to do to kick this habit once and or all! Any advice would be greatly appreciated - more so for the sanity of my family!!

I gave up fizzy last year for lent, must have been drinking roughly the same amount and did that cold turkey. So I can't really give any advice, but maybe the withdrawal is actually caffeine withdrawal? Could you not substitute something in, maybe like a cup of tea or even something like pro-plus to help kick the habit just temporarily? I know you don't really want to go from one bad habit to another, but it sounds like you have a fixation on Pepsi.
Other than that, good luck0 -
I get into bouts of addiction with pepsi max and only found that I stopped doing it if I found an alternative. Perhaps try soda water? You don't need to cut it altogether, you can slowly withdraw yourself.0
