Somewhat Newbie Here

Hi, everyone!

I was recently diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, so I came here to keep track of my foods. I have yet to go to a dietician because she couldn't get me in until May 6(!), so right now I'm kind of playing this by ear by using the plan that I was on when I was pregnant (30-60-60 on the carbs). I've lost 10 pounds since I started this plan, so I'm hoping that will continue.

I'm a mom to a 4 year old who's going into Kindergarten next year, and stepmom to two teenagers -- my stepson graduated from high school last year, while my stepdaughter started high school this year. I've been working as a substitute teacher in middle and high school for the past 2 years, but starting after April vacation I'm going to be working as a paraprofessional in a first grade classroom.

    Welcome, sounds like you have a lot going on! This definitely is a great way to track food and drink.
