Ive been consistantly working out approx 5days a week for about 40mins a day...mostly DVD's & outside hikes with my dogs etc...and Im totally impressed with the results im getting EXCEPT for in my mid section area. Everything else seems to be toning up nicely...

you may just need to keep at it. I have almost hit my goal weight, and i still don't like how my mid section looks still. I have been at this for 1.5 years now and never thought it was going to be so hard.0

Short answer...You can't spot reduce. Sorry, believe me if you could I'd of had my *kitten* in shape years ago lol. It's just time and keeping up a deficit. Dull I know, but thats all you can do.0

I'm doing new rules of lifting for abs. They say you can't spot reduce, but I've found this is helping in my midsection more than other workouts. Almost every exercise incorporates core training so my abs are utilized throughout my workout - not just for a segment.0

Yeah you can totally use and develop a muscle, no doubt, but if it still has a layer of fat over it you won't see any definition at all.0 -
My personal trainer told me that the belly area fat is all diet:( That said, I've been trying to reduce my refined sugar intake, which definitely worked in the past, and cranked up the cardio. i.e. kickboxing class0

Bah - I was hoping for some wonderful & magical cure! lol...I've been picking up on the fact it mostly is diet related...which is sometimes the hardest part! I can do situps for days but if the food im eatting is chalked full of sugar...itll do no good!0
