Im just curious... ive lost 10 so far and will probably be in the same pant size until i lose about 30-40 lbs if not more. I am also 6ft tall which is probably one of the reasons why...

  • I think it depends, in part, on your body shape (where you have your fat stored, so to speak). I know I lost 20 pounds and I'd already been able to start comfortably wearing a size down, and now at 30, I've had to abandon the starting size (24w) altogether because I was drowning in those pants. I've got a pair of size 20's that I wear all right now, and I can get into some extra-large PJs (though not comfortably/able to sleep in them) that I wasn't able to even get over my hips when I started.

I have heard that it is usually about 10-15 lbs per size. I am short, so 10 lbs is about right for me. Depends how the pants fit in the first place. :)

10 - 15 lbs. for me. I'm down a little more than 30 lbs. from my heaviest weight and I'm down 3 sizes.

I just went from a 12 to a 10, but I can still wear the 12's they are just a little loose. I lost 12 pounds so far & I am 5'6 - I carry all my weight in my hips & thighs first then belly and the belly is first to go.

Right now I am a juniors 19... and they fit comfortably when I first starting losing weight... lost 10 lbs so far and they fit about the same as when I started.

I lost 15 and I am down from a size 12 to a 10. But because most my weight was/is in my lower belly from having kids...I tend to lose there the most first.
