Recommendations on adjustable dumbbells?

I am going to be starting ChaLEAN extreme in the next couple of weeks. I have been searching for a pair adjustable dumbbells and I have no clue what I should get.

1. I have never lifted before.
2. I am not very strong, I can do modified push-ups right now.
3. I am looking at the Golds Gym ones that are around $34.00. They are 20lbs per dumbbell. I have read good reviews on them. There just seems to be such a huge gap between the low priced and high priced ones.

I'm guessing I should go with a set that is 20lbs a piece, but I'm not sure how quickly I will progress either!
Any recommendations are great!

Thank you in advanced.

I have the select techs, but yeah, they were pretty pricey. I don't know what your budget is like, but $34 is pretty inexpensive and if you have never lifted before, you probably won't be getting above 20 lbs for a while on CLX. That said, eventually you might want to increase your weights for things like squats, but you could always pick up a pair of 25 lb dumbbells and then 30s when you do need them.

    Enjoy the program!

That's the set that I'm looking at. I currently have a set of 5lb dumbbells and my husband has a set of 25lb dumbbells. The 5lb's are getting too light for me, but the 25lb is way too heavy. I think it will probably save us quite a bit of money if I go for the golds gym adjustable ones. I'm pretty weak right now, but that's due to the fact I haven't lifted weights since high school. I figure it will probably be awhile before I need something heavier than 25lbs.

Thank you! As I just bought the CLX my hubby doesn't want me to go all out on dumbbells right now. I think I am going to ask for the better, heavier ones for my birthday!

When I first did ChaLEAN Extreme, I used the Reebok Adjustable Speedpack from Target. I added a set of 8 pound dumb bells and it worked perfectly for me. Went from a size 14 to a size 6 in less than 90 days :-)
Enjoy the program and let me know if you need help. It's awesome!
