Greetings!

Fairly new to MFP, but have been doing low carb for over 6 months without much luck. After tests (T3, T4 & cortisol) verified it wasn't my metabolism, I figured it had to be something *I* was doing wrong. Turns out, I was: I was eating WAY more "low carb" food than my body could handle. Once I started tracking calories and watching portion sizes, I'm finding weight slowly drop off. The internet is a dangerous beast in that a website can say "eat all of the ____ you want as long as you stay under 20g of carbs!" and I completely believed it. Suckah. But now I know better.

I just ordered a BodyMedia device and I'm anxious to see if this enhances my weight loss goals. Especially since I HATE to workout. I need to find some motivation to do so and I'm hoping this might do it.

Also, I'm on Reddit as Reverie1897 and Theresa Maples on the Keto and MFP Facebook pages.

I know some family members that limited the carbs with the same results. I find that your approach works great with portioning what you eat. I am careful of what I eat Monday through Saturday and then Sunday I eat what I want to take care of any cravings that I may get. I hope everything works out for you. Feel free to add me as a friend.
