Will extra Sodium affect me?

Hi there,
I am a 140lb, 5'9 guys trying to gain weight. I am creating a 3000 calorie, week-long meal plan and so far everything is going fine. There is a problem though.. in each single day, I exceed the default Sodium intake that i am supposed to get according to myfitnesspal. In most of the days I pass it by quite a lot.
I have been trying to hit my macros and calories.. not focusing much on that.. but should I worry about that? Is it going to affect my muscle gains or health?
Serious, helpful answers are much appreciated.

I believe as long as your sodium intake is not way beyond the limit and you are getting enough potassium you are okay. Potassium helps to counteract the effects of sodium. I'm just telling you from my brief understanding on the subject, others, I'm sure, would know better.
I believe it's more of an issue with blood pressure than muscle building, etc. I don't think it will negatively effect it.0 -
Do you have any kidney problems? I personally don't worry about it. Yeah it could add up to 3 lbs but I'm really not concerned & I don't have any medical condition that requires a low sodium diet.

The average person excretes any excess Na that is taken in. If you have a family history of hypertension I would recommend watching it though. But seeing as you are trying to GAIN WEIGHT (I remember those good ole' days..lol) I would not be too worried about it.
