Most interesting exercise you've done lately?

I spent at least four hours each Sunday, Tuesday, and Saturday learning and practicing blacksmithing. Yup, heating chunks of metal in a forge and then hitting them with a heavy hammer, heating them up and bending them and twisting them artistically, sticking glowing metal into water and watching it burst into steam. It's FUN! :-D

So, what is the most interesting, unusual thing you've done lately that burned above-average calories?

Wow, old fashioned blacksmithing with an artistic twist does sound fun (but hot!). We owned horses when I was a kid and I remember the blacksmiths coming by to fix their shoes.

Well, my "most interesting" exercise is leaving the car in the driveway and walking where I have to go (most of the time). I live in a small, historic town with a lot of sidewalks, plus we're next to a national park. If I need to go to the store a mile away to pick up a couple of things, I walk there. My development has a car culture, so some of my neighbors have pulled over to ask if I need a ride, but they're getting used to seeing me walk now. I've lost 10 pounds in the last month, yay!

A few weeks ago I climbed up to a neighbours patio after her 2 year old at locked her out. No idea on burns, but it got my heart rate up...

I tap dance every week and I'm taking a snowshoeing class next year in the winter.
