The scale does not tell the whole truth!

I hate the scale. But I am addicted to it. I've heard it many times - Don't weigh yourself every day. I've tried putting it under the bed, in the bathroom, in difficult to get to spots, and always, I pull it out and step on it. I've resigned myself to just not being willing to stop this. My choice. I'm refusing. Sooooo when the scale has stopped moving for the last two weeks or so, I was irritated. I kept getting on it anyhow. But I've been noticing that my body FEELS different. My husband would make remarks, and I would pooh pooh him and tell him I haven't lost anything. The feeeeeeeeeeling was in my head. Well, not so much. I have been wearing the same size 22 jeans for a long long time. Today, I put a pair on and they just don't fit.

I went to the store to buy a new pair. I don't like trying on clothes in the store because I'm usually disappointed when things I think are cute just don't fit. Then I leave with nothing new and I'm more dejected than I was when I went into the supersizeme section to begin with. So I bought two pairs of jeans, one in size 20 and one in size 18. I figured I'd have something to work towards. Well, I'll be go to hell if those size 18s didn't fit perfectly. No sucking in. No stretching them around me to get them buttoned. DEFINITELY no laying on the bed to get those suckers zipped. They just ... fit! For good measure, I had also purchased an XL top instead of my usual 2X, and that also fit! I am getting smaller. I am eating good food. And I feel amazing. I hate how slow this is, but it is happening.

I hope this was okay to share in success stories. Love this community!

That's a totally awesome NSV! You should take measurements - now that I've started I'm more addicted to them than the scale - whenever I change clothes I have to grab the measuring tape and measure my waist LOL. But that's awesome - such a great feeling.
