Before & After - women lifting heavy

Hi, this is not my success story (I'm at the bottom of the mountain so to speak! haha!) but I was wondering if there's any inspirational stories/photos of women who have changed their bodies through lifting heavy, particularly arms.

I have been put on a program which is high in reps but low in weight but don't feel that soreness I'd expect (well a little bit but I know I'm not working to capacity - it wasn't easy but definitely not hard). I have been reading up on the heavy vs light debate and I think I might up the anti on my weights. My arms are a problem so I'd really like to see some non-surgical before and afters of the arms through lifting heavy, and overall success stories.

Thank you :)

    Hello there ladies,

I'm sure she won't mind, but can I please point you in the direction of liftnlove - classic example.

I've been losing weight for the past 2 years or so - cardio blasted my fat, but heavy lifting has dealt with the hangovers and shaped me really well. Before and afters and the token gun-shot are in my profile pics :)

I don't have the pics yet, but I started lifting heavy in Feb of this year and since then I have lost 13lbs, 5 inches and 7% body fat. I did the lifting alongside running 4 times a week.
  • Mogletdeluxe - I looked at your pics and wow! What an inspiration! Thank you - this is JUST what I needed to see to spur me on! Rduhlir, well done. I am not a runner but I intend on doing other types of cardio to help shift the weight, but I'm not going to focus so much on the scales, but rather the measurements. Thank you ladies :)

I don't have progress pics (yet), but I can't recommend heavy lifting enough. I LOVE it. I have lifted on and off for a while now, but just started a 12 week transformation challenge, using a heavy lifting program and clean eating. I just finished my third week and I'm down 9.3 pounds, body fat has dropped by 5.4%, and I've lost several inches off my waist and hips. My arms and shoulders are looking very nicely defined. Lifting heavy just feels good, it makes you feel so accomplished. I say go for it!
